 How You Can Help |
1. HELP GET OUR GOVERNMENT INTERESTED & ENGAGED IN THIS CASE!
The most important thing you can do to help at this point is to please consider contacting the Governor of your state and your other local and state representatives to let them know that if the U.S. Supreme Court upholds the latest decision made in this case, all 47 state laws designed to protect families from Westboro's abusive behavior will become moot (will be voided). Please encourage them to take an interest in the U.S. Supreme Court case, Snyder v. Phelps and take a stand!

2. JOIN FACEBOOK & HELP SPREAD THE WORD!
If you are you are on Facebook and would be willing to, please cut-and-paste the below onto YOUR FB WALL and please consider asking your friends to do the same:
PLEASE JOIN the FACEBOOK GROUP named: "I support Al Snyder in his Fight Against Westboro..." - there are over 300,000 supporters and more are needed to stop these tragedies!
Also, after you have joined the group page entitled "I Support Al Snyder..." please go to the link named EVENTS near the top of that page and confirm your attendance at the EVENT named "Help the Cause By Signing Up Your Friends" and also consider emailing and/or forwarding all this information to your friends to help us stop these tragedies.
3. VISIT THE OFFICIAL VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS WEBSITE AND DECLARE YOUR SUPPORT!
We are trying to get as many signatures as possible. Anyone can sign it. In fact, the VFW network includes almost as many non-member supporters as it does members. In the first 24 hours, they received nearly 20,000 signatures!
4. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE DONATIONS! At this point, all the costs associated with this case will likely be covered due to your generosity and support!
Please know: the family's lawyer, Sean Summers and law firm Barley Snyder are working pro bono (free), as are many friends and supporters, to ensure that families of our deceased war heroes can grieve in peace after suffering such a tragic and personal loss. All funds donated will go to cover the costs associated with this case such as transcripts, travel and court costs and not one dime will go to attorneys' fees or to Al Snyder and/or his family. The family, lawyers and law firm have invested thousands of hours of pro bono time on this case and are committed to doing so until the end. Your money will be put to good use. First, we will be able to fight back against Phelps and his followers when they retaliate (they have already threatened to do so). Second, in the event that excess funds are received, once this case concludes, any excess will be donated to support veterans returning from Iraq or Afghanistan in the form of educational or healthcare assistance.
